Good-looking, a star athlete, and the son of the richest man in town, Bud is a prize catch and Deanie is the girl lucky enough to get him. Together they face the intensity of first love with all its trials in this tragic but ultimately uplifting play. Splendor in the Grass was adapted by F. Andrew Leslie from a screenplay by the Pulitzer award-winning playwright, William Inge. The classic film was directed by Elia Kazan and featured leading actors Natalie Wood and Warren Beatty.
